AboutI grew up in Santa Ana, California and graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors degree in Sociology. I went on to obtain a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California with a focus on children and family therapy.
In 2010, I began a clinical work utilizing therapy with children and families in Compton, California through the Guidance Center's non-profit clinic. I obtained my clinical license (LCSW#66172) in April, 2015 and started my private practice. I'm currently working full time at the Orange County Social Services Agency in Orange, California, serving foster families with obtaining certification. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife of eighteen years and five beautiful children. We attend a non-denominational Christian church and served in the ministry. I specialize in children to young adults ages 7 to 23. Specifically I am trained in: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational interviewing and EMDR. |
My Practice
•My work is heavily influenced by the relationships and attachments between individuals in which the Lord has designed as a human purpose. I see relationships to be central to how we understand our world, gain meaning and provide purpose. Positive and honest relationships, including the therapy relationship, allow for healing and growth. Therefore, I'm not a remote observer in the room. Instead, I am an active and accessible person with the people I work with and strive to be as honest as possible.
